Jetnamsklumpen & Nord-Trøndelag

On Saturday, 26 May, we managed to reach the highest peak in Nord-Trøndelag, Jetnamsklumpen 1513moh! With great help from Kristin Åkerøy who is a local, we had all the info we had, all I had to do was drive 10 hrs up North and meet up with Kristin in Namsos. We drove to Grong Friday night and got waffles with home-made jam from Kristin's mom! Thank you!! :)

Kristin, Tone and I ready for take off at 7 am.

At the parking-lot in Sweden. Needed to find a good set-up for the bike-session!

Kristin :)

Still lots of snow here!

Made it to where we begin to ski about an hour later.

Tone enjoying a bite to eat!

Getting closer

At the boarder between Sweden and Norway, as well as we here enter the national park Børgefjell

Someone said something funny here....!

As we got closer we met 5-6 other campers who said we would need 2-3 hrs to reach the top. We figured as the weather was so nice, it was smart to camp right away, leave everything else but some water and food, and continue to the top.

Such a beauty!

Beautiful view just a few hundred meters from the top!

Kristin at the top!

Tone

Myself happy on the top of the 17th top of the total 19!

Suddenly some fog showed up

We had to celebrate!

Sunday morning!

Such a warm day!

Back at the parking-lot! Looks like we've been gone for a week!

Beautiful light headed back over Valdresflye!
It feels so great to have reached yet another peak. Only two peaks left now, Store Skagastølstind in Sogn & Fjordane and Øksfjordjøkelen in Finnmark. There should still be time to reach the last two before the snow is gone, but time will show...

Thank you ladies for such a fun and amazing trip - wouldn't have been the same without you!
Big thanks to Kristin's mom for lending me a bed to sleep in and for the delicious waffles!

Dinner!
Thank you so much Gunnar and Hans for making this another amazing adventure! Special thanks to Arnulf for letting us stay at such a wonderful place and head out fishing. It would be fantastic to come back sometime mid-winter and chase the powder!!
