Merry Christmas from Hemsedal, Norway!

So, it's tiny-Christmas Eve, and I'm sitting in Hemsedal waiting for the fam to roll in one by one.. It's been some amazing days these last couple of days, amazingly cold yes, but BEAUTIFUL!!

Nice to check out the resort from the kitchen.....

This is even showing a couple degrees warmer than what it is....

I finally managed to take these following shots after warming up the battery in my glove for about 3 min while I was jumping around like a crazy person trying to stay warm. It was -26 yesterday!!! They're from the top of a lift called Totten II, and it's so amazing cause the rest of the resort is in the shade in the morning, but if you take this lift all the way to the top and walk a little you see all of this:
Vibeke came and visited! She's holding her foot up because it's infected from taking her foot in and out of a boot so many times at about -25 degrees for 4 days... Such a hard-core coach!
Åsmund has gotten his lashes 3mm longer here from the freezing cold.......!
Check this out! This pic was taken out of the living room in the morning, whereas.....
...this was taken about 4pm after skiing. Sick light!
I'm truly, completely, totally in love with my two new onsies! I've got one for skiing and one for off the slopes. I seriously don't know what else I need in my wardrobe these days!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
May it be a White Christmas for everyone!!!!

Finally back in Hemsedal & there's more pow-pow!!!

After a few weeks in Oslo, going NUTS cause I'm not skiing, I'm finally back in Hemsedal where it's snowing! I just got back from a sick day skiing with a good crew, Anders, HP, Bjørn and Pekk - thanks for dragging me around dudes! We went all over the place and it's just something soooo satisfying about being back in the mountains! My mood is on top, I sleep better, I feel better, life's just better!

I haven't blogged in a while and realized there are some more shots from the rest of the trip in Lech that should get up here...
so here they are:
I realized I ate more pizza during this one week than I have during the past 2 years....
McFly came for a visit!

The hardworking, awesome crew!Sick gondola right?
Chris is tha man!

I've been crashing on my brother's couch in Oslo quite a few night this past week and I love waking up to this:It's getting close to Christmas and if there's one thing that get me in a Christmas ambiance, it's the Christmas tree and the jule-grøt! It's been really cozy in the city these days, and this one day the light was just amazing so I went for a walk in the cold and took some pictures.....
Not too bad at mom's house either... :)

I'm definitely NOT forgetting the camera tomorrow!
Stay tuned for pow shots.....! :)
and Merry Christmas!!!

Prank on the boys

Now, I might be the only one, but I find this hilarious. The other night when we were out for a few beers and some of us stayed out later than others, Mel and I figured it would be fun to pull a prank on the boys before they got back. I first thought it'd be fun to make the mattress completely wet with water, but I don't think Gerda would have appreciated that much...
So - we laid Daniel and Danzer's one suits out on their beds and filled them with all the other clothes that was in their room. Danzer got a bit fat, but looks good right? Daniel is enjoying some chips..... I would have loved to see the look on their faces around 3-4am, but by then Mel and I were passed out....
Hahahahahahahahaha..................

Greetings from Lech & Iscgl

So I've finally found the internet, but still not my phone... I have a feeling it might be buried under some snow in Iscgl... bummer, but a good thing I never got myself one of those fancy-schmancy iPhones! Gerda here at the Haus Tannberg is kind enough to let me hang out in her office and use the internet - Danke, danke!! :)

It's been a couple of good days for my legs, many runs in, the snow hasn't been too crazy though, and it looks like it's about to get warmer, which ain't so good.... Lori and I are gonna go ski somewhere tomorrow, and as she's a local I have a feeling we'll be finding some good pow-pow an hour or so away in the right direction......!

In the mean-time, here's some shots from the past week, enjoy!

Meet Mr. MX 128 - yeah, that's right, I'm SICK!
Skiing = art
Meet from the left: Mrs. MX 108 - 187cm, a fresh-not-yet-dressed Miss MX 108 - 177cm, Mr. Chris Davenport pro-model - FX 94, & the new, fat dude, Mr. MX 128 - 190cm!
Don't mind if I do......
Sopa-Marco, Sopa-Jorgi, & Sopa-Danzer.....
If you're as rad as Hugo and Dav you get your own pro-model... extremely high sick-factor here...
This picture of a business-man on his cellphone "strolling" through the streets of Lech was too good to not share with the rest of you.... I just find it hilarious! He almost crashed with the bus actually......!

Austria, Powder and TJ

I'm currently in Austria, but with an internet connection that jumps out every 3 1/2 min, so not much updates these days. I don't have a working cellphone either as it decided to first stop working when I crossed the border from Germany, and now it's hiding somewhere. Have no idea where it is, so I'm now being a little bit outside the world updates...

One thing I've made sure to stay updated on though is TJ. For those of you that doesn't know he's a member of the US Down hill team and was injured this past Saturday in his first race after coming back from and ACL injury last winter. I've always admired him for his positiveness and right attitude when facing injuries and situations that has forced him to again be patient with reaching his complete potential and goals, and I don't even have words for how freakin upset I am on his behalf that he's out for another season. Sending tons of good thoughts, vibes and energy tj's way and glad he seems to be in the best hands.

It's been good days here in Lech and we've skied a couple of days, finding some sweet powder.
I'll attempt to upload some pictures of the beauty of this place and share the stoke of winter finally being here again....
